Careers: Production Assistant

We are looking for a hands-on assistant with experience in contract furniture design and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will posses the ability to manage projects, has strong conceptual, mechanical and communication skills and an eye for good form.

We are looking for a team player who is creative and can work under minimal supervision. Reporting to the Chief Designer, the role involves providing technical and commercial support to the Lucidream furniture group. Ability to communicate at all levels; within the company, with customers and with supplier organizations, is essential.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated with a passion for furniture design and development.

Main accountabilities include:

• Product management
• Supplier selection
• Manufacturing drawings
• Production documentation

This job requires the ability to work on complex tasks with periods of intense activity.

Applicant will ideally:

Be an Industrial designer or Engineer with some relevant experience and documented creativity. Have knowledge of design and engineering software. Have the ability to use wood and metal working machinery. Be passionate about learning and teaching.
